Josef Hlvka (15. 2. 1831 - 11. 3. 1908) - a successful building contractor, architect and best-known Czech patron. He designed and built throughout the Austrian Empire.
Josef Hlvka was born in Prestice near Pilsen in the non-wealthy family
mayor Anthony cones and his wife Anna. After graduating from high school in
Klatovy Cologne and secondary school in Prague, he studied at the Prague Technical and
then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. During the years 1856 - 1859 a scholarship traveling around Europe.
