Ernest of Pardubice (25th 3rd 1297 - 30. 6. 1364) - first Archbishop and Metropolitan, diplomat in the service of King Charles IV. Do also created history as a patron of religious art.

Ernest of Pardubice was probably born in a village near Hostinka Czech vitriol. But part of her childhood was spent in about sixty kilometers away Glatz, which is located on Polish territory. On the left ordain priests after returning from a long-term stay in Italy, where he attended university education. Initially he worked in the Episcopal Chapter of St.. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, in 1343 he became bishop of Prague, a year later, the first Archbishop of Prague.
