Vlasta Burian (9. 4. 1891- 31. 1. 1962) - famous Czech film and theater actor. He has appeared in four dozen films, most of which originated in the First Czechoslovak Republic.

Star Liberec native Vlasta Burian started to come during the First World War, when he joined the Rococo Theatre (1916) was directed by Karel Hasler. There, thanks to its bavi�sk�mu talent soon became the darling of audiences and crowds of fans grew. Burian became notorious parody of Italian opera, for it was also a skilled impersonator. Inspiration young comedian had already gathered in Prague cabarets and Santana, who often visited. In fact, Prague was taught as a trader. But he entertained friends humorous vignettes on various parties, but i tried a secondary role in the Theatre and �vandovo theater.

Vlasta Burian in his youth was also known as a sports lover, lured him especially tennis and soccer. Several years even played for the major league team AC Sparta Praha.

Since 1925, he worked in his own Vlasta Burian's Theatre in Adria. Three years later, however, moved on to Sm�chov �vandovo theater and Adria settled Liberated Theatre Voskovce and Wericha. In the years 1930-1945 Vlasta Burian's Theatre was located in the Palace of Mining and Metallurgical Company in Lazarsk� street where Burian established cinema, studio, fashion salon and workshops.

Vlasta Burian became famous as a film comedian. Cooperation with the then famous directors Charles Lama�i and Martin Fric brought a series of successful comedies such as C. and k. Field Marshal, Business Under Distress, Lel��ek ve slu�b�ch Sherlocka Holmese, Duch��ek organize it (everything K. Lama�) or Anton Spelec, Sharp-Shooter, Three eggs in glass (M. Fric) and others. But also collaborated with other directors. For example, a film directed stationmaster Jan Svit�k, Hrdinn� kapit�n Korkor�n again Miroslav Cik�n. It should be noted that the directors had with Burian simple job: it was spontaneous and often in their management shooting intervened.

After World War II was an actor accused of collaborating with the Germans and imprisoned twice. Although it after a few months the authorities to liberate, not allowed to play and came almost the whole property. The actor returned in 1950, then to intercede Jan Werich and director George Frejka. Although after the forced break, he was a different Burian, his vigor and vitality has gone, done in several films excellence.
