monument reserve Trenn - Slovak town of Trencin is located in the west of the country in the Vah River Valley, about 110 kilometers from Bratislava and 12 kilometers from the border with the Czech Republic. The center of this historic city was in 1987 declared a conservation area.
Trenn is one of the oldest cities in the Slovak Republic: first written mention of it comes from the 12th century. Instead, it was due to advantageous strategic position already inhabited in the Stone Age, as evidenced by numerous archaeological finds. Commercial development of geographically recorded abundant flow of scale and proximity of three Carpathian passes. Trencin passed through one of the branches of a merchant Amber Route.
Characteristic dominant form of Trencin Castle, which was declared a national monument. On the wall of the castle rock was preserved inscription dating from 179 AD, reminiscent II victory. Roman legions of the army Germanic Quadi tribe.
The popular sights include fortified trennskm, Gothic church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in 1324, which was later rebuilt in Renaissance style. Nearby is St. karner. Michael, the only surviving purely Gothic building. Originally a chapel with an ossuary served as Turkish wars as an armory and later as a granary.
The dominant feature of the northwestern part of the Peace Square is a Roman Catholic church of St. Francis Xaverzkho. It was consecrated in roce1657. Originally Jesuit sanctuary passed in 1776 under the administration of the Piarist order.
On Wednesday, Peace Square is a plague column from 1712. It recalls the plague that hit Trenn two years earlier. Baroque-style columns had built at the instigation of Trencin Liptovsky housecoat and Count Nicholas Illshzyho Viennese stonemasons.
The unmistakable trennskm buildings are also Jewish synagogue roof in the shape of a dome.
Among the protected monuments include the Renaissance parish stairs from 1568. They begin at the end of the street and the Faroe trennskmu heading towards the castle.
