Sigmund Freud (6. 5. 1856 - 23rd 9 1939) - Viennese physician, psychiatrist and university professor. Created history as the founder of psychoanalysis.
Sigmund Freud was born in the family of a Jewish substances in Pbor. Sigismund Schlomo birth name Freud lived in the Moravian town in its three years. Then the family business due to bankruptcy decided to leave for a better life. After a short stay in Leipzig eventually settled in Vienna.
Freud graduated from high school with honors and in 1873 began studying medicine at the University of Vienna.
For various reasons, among which were the two fellowships in Trieste, Italy, passed the final exams for eight years.
At the time he joined the laboratory of Ernst Wilhelm Ritter von Brucke, dealing with biological research. Due to the small income earned extra money practice of internal medicine and psychiatry at the Vienna General Hospital.
In 1885 he became a private docent, and then joined a private clinic in Oberdbling. Followed by a study stay at the Paris Jean Martin Charcot doctor, one of the creators of psychology and psychiatry, which also dealt with hypnosis. Also thanks to this method, a Freud became aware of the existence of a deeper consciousness or unconsciousness.
After returning to Vienna in 1886, he married and opened a private practice there. He focused on the treatment of neurosis and hysteria, which also used hypnosis. His findings are recorded, so soon developed a comprehensive technology and theory of human personality, which took the name of psychoanalysis.

As a Jewish and a pacifist became an enemy of the Nazis, who opposed his views, and in Berlin in 1933 and burned his books. Freud believed that Nazism Austria misses, so long resisted exile. When in 1939 he left with his daughter Anna, also psychoanalyst, to London, where, however, on September 23 the same year he died. His four sisters who remained in Austria, are the victims of the Holocaust.
