ABOUT Antiquanova - Grešle 1759
Grel - copper coin, which in 1759 introduced the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa.
The name comes from the German farthing Grschel, a diminutive and can be translated as groek. Originally had an average of only 17.5 mm, the following year's greatness was adjusted to 23.2 mm. Farthing from 1759 is now rare and highly prized by collectors. The obverse side shows signs historic Czech crown: Lion and the Moravian and Silesian eagle. On the reverse is engraved inscription EIN GRESCHL a year. Copper was the first credit farthing coins minted in our area (ie coins, for which the value does not correspond with the value of the metal, but it is officially determined).
