eskoslovensk ptihal of 1924 - small circulating coin that was minted design by Otakar Spaniel. Now specimens from 1924, are among the rarest Czechoslovak coins at all. Survives there is a very small number (an estimated 15 to 20 pieces). Ptihal had a diameter of 16 mm and was made from a mixture of copper and zinc in the ratio of 92: 8. The reason why so few surviving pieces, it is not entirely clear. Excluded is the theory that it was carried over from the previous year, enough to cover the needs of the market, and so the next big issue was necessary. Mint then started a series of small symbolic order to avoid interrupting the continuity.
i is relatively widespread assumption that Kremnici during the excavation of the series in 1924 and snapped a punch as penny coins were in circulation enough to continue with the production of the series in 1925. Artwork for gold replica ptihale drafted in 1924 by the sculptor Jan Lukas.
