Sterling city Czech Krumlov - The history of coinage in the Czech Krumlov dates back to the fifteenth century. The owners of the local castle Rosenbergs obtained coin right from Emperor Sigismund in the year 1422. When exactly excavation began in Krumlov, but it is not entirely clear. What is certain is that at the turn of the XIII. and XIV. century castle grounds existed smelter, which processed the ore produced in the area.
The era of the Rosenbergs in Czech Krumlov ended in 1602, when Petr Vok sold the estate to the Emperor Rudolf II. Twenty years later, Emperor Ferdinand II. trsk esk Krumlov House of Eggenberg, who also received the right to mint its own coins. This law used intermittently until 1688. In addition to Cesky Krumlov also minted in mints in Prague and Swiss Waldstein.
In the eighties of the seventeenth century Johann Christian von Eggenberg began the construction of a new independent mints. This, however, due to the imperial ban mintage of small coins (Regulation also applied to tkrejcary punched Johann Christian), has never been used for its original purpose.
